AI should be at the heart of all digital strategies. It is the conclusion from a new report from SogetiLabs, a technology and engineering service provider.
The last in a series of four qualitative research reports on the topic of Machine Intelligence, AI First: Learning from the machine linked profit and economic growth are intertwined with the proactive deployment of AI. The report further concluded that discovering how to build intelligent machines can help to raise overall Corporate IQ.
The report noted that AI is the “next step in a logical sequence of IT developments over the past few decades: first digital, then mobile and now intelligence (AI) first.” It stated that the sequence moves from building a transaction medium, like a website with hyperlinks to today's smarter transaction networks and devices, where you interact with AI. It also concluded that AI could help firms make "great new discoveries" if it is part of the digital strategy.
"A new AI focus is essential because your competitors will certainly use it to accelerate their learning - about customers, products, technology - to gain a head start," Menno van Doorn, Research Director at SogetiLabs and co-author of the report said in a press release.
Overall, the report explores the latest developments on the journey to being an AI-first organization. It recommended some actions for improving Corporate IQ with a better understanding of the relationship between man and machine.
