Cloudera Data Platform Private Cloud Launched

Cloudera has extended its Cloudera Data Platform (CDP) to help enterprises looking to connect their on-premises private cloud to the public cloud.

Known as Cloudera Data Platform Private Cloud (CDP Private Cloud), the enterprise data cloud now delivers self-service analytics across hybrid and multi-cloud environments, ensuring consistent, built-in security and governance.

Built on Red Hat OpenShift, enterprises can leverage CDP Private Cloud help to create a hybrid multi-cloud data architecture to rapidly onboard mission-critical applications and run them anywhere – without disrupting existing ones. Companies can collect, enrich, report, serve and model enterprise data for any business use case in any cloud.

CDP Private Cloud modernizes data platforms by leveraging decoupled storage and compute with containers and Kubernetes to accelerate time value substantially. This ensures critical workloads meet their SLAs, realizing the vision of a consistent hybrid data cloud.

“Every enterprise-scale organization needs to become truly data-driven to navigate an increasingly volatile operating environment, but that ability has remained elusive for many until now,” said Mark Micallef, vice president of Asia Pacific and Japan at Cloudera.

“The culmination of the vision for an enterprise data cloud allows business to navigate complex data processes across multiple clouds, manage data governance, and enable multi-function analytics, regardless of where the data resides. IT can now say yes to any analytic function on any cloud, enabling the speed and agility the business wants with the security and governance the enterprise demands.”

Speaking about CDP, Gil Genio of Globe Telecom said: “Cloudera has enabled us to perform better customer segmentation and develop insights-driven services that respond to customers’ changing needs. Their completion of the Enterprise Data Cloud vision now enables companies like us to become truly data-driven and focus on our core mission of empowering Filipino’s digital lifestyles.”

Since the launch of CDP in last year, Cloudera says it has seen strong adoption momentum in the Asia Pacific across numerous sectors, including telecommunications, public sector, financial services, and manufacturing.
