Moving data to the cloud is often a major concern for DataOps teams. Besides the ETL complexity, there is also the question of runaway costs. Often chief data officers fret about the decision when it comes to justifying the ROI.
Informatica is making it easier. It recently joined Microsoft Azure to launch the Modern Cloud Analytics program. In short, it promises its customers one of the fastest, lowest cost, lowest risk paths to modernize PowerCenter ETL and on-premises data warehouses to Informatica’s Intelligent Data Management Cloud (IDMC) on Azure and Azure Synapse Analytics.
The Modern Cloud Analytics program, available to joint Microsoft and Informatica PowerCenter customers on the Azure Marketplace, includes:
“We are delighted to be partnering with Microsoft in this new joint modern cloud analytics program, furthering our collaboration from our recent launch of IDMC pod on Microsoft Azure in Singapore,” said Tony Frey, vice president and general manager at Informatica Asia Pacific & Japan. “As cloud innovation continues to fuel the digital transformation efforts of businesses across APAC, we aim to provide our customers with a seamless experience by supporting them in migrating and modernizing mission-critical workloads onto the cloud.”
The program comes as cloud adoption and integration is reaching new growth rates. A recent report by IDC predicts that ICT spending in APAC will reach USD1.1 trillion by 2025 as a result. The report also noted that data needs of the day will become increasingly complex, making data integration and analytics crucial to an organization’s ability to make data-driven decisions.
